CHRIS VAN CLEAVE
Singer/Songwriter, Actor, Scriptwriter, Director,
Producer of NOT FORGOTTEN

As an actor-singer, Van Cleave starred in national tours of Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar, performing in major theaters, coliseums, and concert venues throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. He also played leading roles in Chess and Les Miserables in London West End theaters and has been featured in numerous American regional productions. 

Chris is also a prolific and eclectic composer. His compositions number nearly a thousand and include folk, rock, country, jazz, R&B, reggae and musical theater. His expressive voice has been praised as one of the richest among contemporary singers. In addition to his initial major label releases on Paramount Records with Laura Branigan and Walker Daniels (original lead in Hair), Chris has independently produced eight albums of original music.  As a recording artist and songwriter, he has collaborated with many other artists.

Chris has also composed the scores to three musicals, two of which he scripted.  He has performed in most of the United States (including Hawaii), the Virgin Islands, Great Britain, Norway, Canada, and The Netherlands.

Phil brings over 30 years of television production experience to the NOT FORGOTTEN documentary project.  These experiences include  documentary films, documentary television series, news services, advertising, public service announcements, corporate communication, special events, and other program.

Phil is a hands-on producer/director with high level skills in various aspects of production:  script writing, editing, camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.    Partial client list includes CNN, A&E Network, Discovery Channel, CSPAN, US ARMY, US NAVY, USMC, U.S. Coast Guard, Dept of Energy, CIA and FBI.

He is a proud graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz with dual degrees in Mass Media and Psychology.  He  is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Hospital Corpsman with the 3rd Marine Division among other assignments.

CECIL HOOKER
Special Effects Artist, Violinist, Composer

Cecil Hooker is a special effects artist with Final Cut, a global post-production facility: www.finalcut-edit.com. His career has involved creative editorial work on award winning feature films, television, music videos and commercials.

At the age of six, Cecil began training as a classical violinist. His music career includes the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the bands Snuff (Warner/-Elektra/Asylum Records), and Trapezoid (Azure Records) as well as contributions to over two dozen CDs, television sound tracks, and national commercials.

Cecil composed the music for the award winning indie film “13” as well as the NPR radio program “With Good Reason." Cecil currently resides in New York City with his wife Laura Oaksmith and plays with the band Chapter3.

LOU HEMSEY

Editor, Screenwriter, Film Director

Some of Lou Hemsey’s  CD Mastering clients include Disney, Universal Pictures, Sony, Miramax, Hollywood Pictures, Dreamworks Records, RCA, Arista Records, Geffen Records, to name a few. 

Lou started his professional creative journey after graduating from the Mannes College of Music in New York City.  He was fortunate to be under the tutelage of the celebrated Russian guitarist and violinist, Lenonid Bolitine, earning a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar and Composition. 

As a virtuoso classical guitarist, Lou performed in various renowned venues on Broadway. At the same time he was one of the “go to guys” as a super creative composer, arranger and producer in the New York City recording world of Pop, R&B, and Rock record work.  After moving to Los Angeles, his expertise spread to CD Mastering of Records and Score, bringing his deep musicality to the technical art.  Lou is also a co-principal of HEntertainment, a full service production boutique that writes, directs and produces original film and TV content.
